Aequo won a fundamental victory in the Supreme Court in favour of the GTS’s Operator of Ukraine

Aequo won a fundamental victory in the Supreme Court in favour of the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine, a company that transports natural gas to consumers in Ukraine and the European Union.

The dispute is related to the systematic failure of regional gas networks to fulfil their obligations to the GTS Operator to pay for daily negative imbalances in the gas supply system.

The Supreme Court unified the court practice by making a final conclusion in favour of the GTS Operator in this category of disputes.

In this case, the result achieved by AEQUO’s team is significant for the GTS Operator's financial stability and crucial for a series of similar disputes totalling UAH 40 billion.
