Aequo succeeded in recognition of Citramon trademark as well-known in favor of Darnitsa

Aequo defended the intellectual property rights of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical company “Darnitsa” in a dispute against Lubnypharm JSC and Ukrpatent (PTO office) regarding the recognition of the Citramon (Цитрамон) trademark as well-known in Ukraine.

On January 26, 2022, the Commercial Court of the city of Kyiv decided in favor of Darnitsa and recognized Citramon as a well-known trademark of Darnitsa as of January 1, 1997. As a result, the Ukrainian trademark certificate № 24778 to "Citramon U" (Цитрамон У), owned by Lubnypharm, was cancelled.
