On October 4-5, 2024, Brave1 held the first Defense Tech Valley investment summit in Kyiv, focusing on Ukrainian defense innovations.
Key highlights:
(i) 1,300 participants, including 100+ international investors
(ii) 650 developers from 250+ teams presented projects
(iii) Projected investment deals worth up to $50 million by year-end
(iv) Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy PM for Innovation, stated Brave1 had issued $8 million in grants over 18 months, emphasizing the need for international funding.
Outcomes:
(v) Memorandum signed with CenSec (Danish Defense, Space and Security Center)
(vi) Platform for future growth of Ukraine's defense tech industry established
The event united Government, military, and business representatives in enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities through technological innovation.
